Hi all,

We need our boiler serviced and a little more....

Our complete system was installed 3 years ago during a difficult build. We have a vaillant ecotech plus 637 system boiler heating an unvented cylinder.

It is in the loft space above our bedroom and was installed on the basis it would be quiet. Since it was installed it has been pretty noisy. From ongoing investigation it is producing vibrations in the pipes of the hot water circuit which when the pipes are vibrating against other things can sound like a diesel car up there. It isn’t constant which has meant fixing it is tricky. it has recently started LOUD squealing when hot water comes on in the morning without the heating and this seems to be coming from the metal housings of the motorised valves for the heating circuits.

A couple of months ago we were having more work done and one of their guys had a quick look and re-pressurised the expansion tank which was completely full of water. (i have just been up there and i think this has is no longer holding air and may needs replacement - but the pipe vibrations seem to be less)
The pressure seems to slowly go down – though no leaks anywhere.
Whatever the reason for it (people seem to talk about air, balance, and pump) we need the boiler serviced whatever. We would really like to get to the bottom of this and get this matter resolved once and for all because its doing our heads in.

We also have an issue with the plumbing under the sink. We have an insinkerator which also has connections from the dishwasher and overflow from the quooker hot water tap. We had the quooker serviced and he talked about the nightmare of stuff clogging the pipes when you have waste disposal and dishwasher etc. he said the pipes were almost blocked up and unblocked them. Since then we have had a godawful smell coming from the waste disposal and when we have done more looking it doesn’t appear there is any kind of trap on it. Some of the pipes are not well sealed and some leak. Would be really pleased if you could fit a trap and fit new pipes to sort this out as well.
Could you give me a call asap – we could really do with this fixed!

look forwards to hearing from you.

cheer

john.
