hi.We have a holiday property ( on condominium) with a basement approx 10feet below ground level). In the basement there are 2 rooms - one en suite with toilet and shower. The condo relies on a cesspit . Last week we had an horrendous storm with extremely heavy and long landing rains. W e returned to find the basement under 9 inches waer. My immediate reaction was to block off the drains ( cement) with the downside being that the facilities would obviously then be out of use( we have another en suite on the gound floor). However 2 days after the event I am now thinking more rationally lol. So my question is - what solution would you recommend ( other than selling the property lol). ? Our neighbour suggests a double non return valve ? If this was a viable solution , what labour would be required , what would have to be done and what product would you recommend. Thanks
