Should I call Cadent for this gas leak?

Hello,

I live in a residential block with communal heating and hot water. Because I smelled a bit of gas in the boiler room, I bought a gas detector and did a survey. Can you please watch the YouTube video on the link below and tell me if you think the reaction of the detector is expected or whether you think I should call Cadent to investigate?

The central heating boiler was turned off but the hot water boiler was operational when I filmed this. The "leak" is accentuated when I place the device close to the regulator, which is property of Cadent, the gas distribution company.

If you smell gas shut the isolation valve and call them straight away.

If you smell gas you call National Gas Emergency Service number on 0800 111 999* and follow their instructions.

Once you've had the gas leak fixed, you walked past a couple of broken pieces of grey board that look like asbestos to me. I suggest you get them checked and removed by a competent person.

Edit: I've just noticed that this is an old thread that appeared under "What's new" for no obvious reason...

Cadent did visit and they replaced the pipes. Thanks for letting me know about the boards. I will check if they are asbestos.
