I had a leak with my aqualisa power shower - leak seemed to be at the back of the shower and I thought the connections were faulty, maybe a break in a seal.

I've fixed the hot and cold pipes in place and no matter how many times I connect them to the shower there's a leak as soon as I turn the shower on. I can't be sure exactly where it's coming from.

I know it's not the pipes at the back as when I cap the pipes and turn the water on there's no leak.

I know it's not the push fit connectors in the shower as when I remove the push fits from the shower, attach them to the pipe (without the shower) and cap them again there's no leak.

But as soon as I connect the pipes there's a leak. So now I'm wondering if it's the shower.

I attached a piece of pipe to the shower and connected the other end to a hose pipe outside - and water came out of the shower. It came out of the hose connector when I turned the shower to 'on' (disconnected from actual pipes and electrics) and came out of the shower itself when I turned the shower to 'off'.

Should water come out of the shower this way? Is it because the shower isn't connected to the electrics?

Can't see why that would be. So is the shower probably faulty?

Have been holding off calling out Aqualisa as there's an £80 call out fee if it's the plumbing rather than the shower.

Any advice much appreciated!

Thanks

Ben

I think you need to bite the bullet and get them out to it, it doesn't sound like a plumbing problem and it doesn't matter that the the electrical connections haven't been made.
