There are loads of oven cleaning company's popping up lately but should they be gas safe registered?
After all they are taking out the oven burner and cleaning it, not just that are they making the injectors bigger when cleaning them?
Thoughts

Shouldve said anyone can clean or even disconnect n reconnect a bayonet to clean but what your mentioning is servicing and must be qualified person.

This is my point Kris, this bulletin bangs on about disconnection of the bayonet fitting, no mention of the burner, some would say they clean it without taking it out but how do they clean it, Chemicals and a wire brush!!! Some use pins to clean out the injectors.
even if it looks o.k it should be tested as its a flueless appliance.
They will argue that they are only cleaning it not servicing it.

As soon as they touch anything to do with the gas workings of the oven/cooker they are working on it and should be qualified to do so.

IF they are using pins to clean out injectors then they are not right in the head lol

but to them there "only cleaning the cooker/oven" so don't need anything, ignorance is bliss, so how many people need to drop DEAD before the powers that be look into this? even if the flame picture looks o.k the analyser might say otherwise.

You can't educate pork, Eric. You can try but it only irritates the pig.

Report them to gs. Cover your own backside.

Might be better reporting to local council, environmental health dept maybe if it's commercial locations that need an operating licence

Educate people using the service , you get what you pay for .

(unless service - not actually that cheap ! )
