Have recently redone my bathroom and the builder has fitted new mixer hot and cold taps with a hand held shower for the bathtub. The hot water pressure was very low which is why we fitted a water pump. The problem that we have now is that even after using the pump it is very difficult to get the correct temperature of water to have a decent shower and even if we do manage to set a correct temperature by fiddling with the hot and cold taps after some time the cold water seems to push out the hot water and the water that comes out is luke warm(almost cold). We should have fitted a thermostatic shower in the first place but we werent advised correctly and are faced with this mess where its quite difficult to have a decent shower.
Can we fit a thermostatic valve somewhere and give the out put of the thermostatic valve to the hot water inlet. The builders plumber says that it wud be difficult to change the main bath taps as it is fitted quite tightly. Any ideas on what can be done.
