How do you fix a shower tray to a shower plinth?

A customer has a cracked tray and want it replacing. It's a square 800. It sits on a wooden plinth.

The legs can be lowered to loosed from tile line and waste undone etc.

It's a plastic tray.

Are they stuck on or do they just sit on top? If stuck on are they easy to remove or will I need a new plinth and tray?

Apologies, might be me not reading it properly but, is the tray on a plinth AND legs?!

Yes, shower tray sits on a plinth with legs, same legs like you get on a bath which in turn are set on wooden supports as a bath would.

I've seen feet both screwed & glued to the underneath of the tray.

It is possible to have screwed the feet down to the plinth also, depends how quick the previous installer wanted to get out of there!!

Best bet is to provide customer with worst case scenario if you haven't already seen for yourself.

The shower tray is not in legs. The wooden plinth is on legs.

Right, I'm with you now. I was confused with the tray being on legs then on plinth!

You can always make up a new plinth reasonably inexpensively from some timber if it damages. Might be the best option.

So do you stick the tray to the plinth or does it just sit in top?

Depends what MI's recommend but sometimes you can get away with liberally applying silicone to the underneath of the tray & bonding it to the plinth this way.
