Started a thread today regarding some problems with a triton thermostatic bar shower, have been trying to get the correct water regulating , would not having a flow regulator in the outlet fitting stop the correct flow of hot and cold , it is a very high pressure water system.
Regards

Having done all that needs to be i.e. commission it ,check the filters for dirt, made sure the water temp from the unvented boiler was ok,it still was not producing the correct temp, it was pointed out that it could be faulty,it is a new one replacing a old therm shower that did work ok, but I was thinking about flow reg

By all means fit a flow reg if it makes you feel good.
Doesn't your statement 'it replaced an old one that was working' give you a clue as to the cause of the problem.

:iagree: with mountainman.

You could check the hot and cold water pressures and flow rates are within the parameters required for the new shower if you want to go to extremes but if the old shower worked OK I wouldn't think this necessary.

By the way, how come we have two threads saying the same thing?

I don't think I misunderstood you Leslie.

As I see it, you had an old thermo valve that was working and you replaced it with a new one that doesn't work.
If I am correct then can you explain why you won't accept that the new unit is probably faulty?

I do accept that and took it back today for a replacement and will try again tomorrow, just wanted to make sure that I had covered all the possibilities . Thank you for your comments.
