Shower Pump

Got to fit a shower pump Wednesday night for a customer, the shower and pump will be located the floor above the HWC but the CWSC will be in loft above it? Do I need negative or positive head? Cheers gents

It all depends where your shower head is located.

Shower head is about 2m above pump and about 2m below CWSC. And about 7m above HWC

Positive head.

Negative head is for where the shower head will be above the cwcs.

Thanks Simon. Did think this but customer said he rang Stuart Turner and they recommended a Negative Head one??!! That's why I thought I'd ask on here

I was always under the impression that it's all dependant upon water flow prior to fitting of pump. Negative head for instances where there's a possibility of insufficient flow through the shower to start the pump.

So does it not matter where the Hot Water Cylinder is in relation to Shower Head?

THe hot water is the same as the cold water it's all driven by the cwcs, and the head of water from this.
