Just had a phone call from a mate and they have a free standing pump in the airing cupboard feeding a shower.

The problem is when they go to turn the shower off the pump keeps running and they have to turn the shower on and off several times to get the pump to stop.

my theory is (without seeing it, doing that Saturday) that the flow switch on it must be faulty, but I was just wondering if you lot had any other ideas as to what it could be, cheers

If the pump has been in for while with no problem and this has started recently it is probably the flow switch sticking.

If it has been a problem from day one of the new pump being fitted, it probably needs NRV's.
