Shower pump

Went to fit shower pump today

Total balls up, custard bought 2nd hand pump off flea Bay, not single,

Told him can't fit, did fit gate valve as old was stuck fast, drained down & no air locks!

Buying new pump to return Friday

Nice chap but tried to skimp & failed!

He got a new pump & im going back next Wed.

Got to swap washing machine iso also

Pump should be ok to fit, all been recc'd. Be ok

Still might be issue with mains cold but will need to see how it goes

It's a fortic

I said I'd cut into the cold there but he doesn't want it,

The tank is in the lounge & the shower at the other end so not idea set up

I've told him. He's trying to find the solution etc.

I've told him Steve, more than once.

His basin hot trickles out so hopefully the pump will boost that.

I've told him he's just can't get enough head!

I would have just quoted a small unvented as the shower pump has too many problems, why give him the choice lol?

In Berkshire, comes off a back boiler.

Just updating

Pump fitted to boost hot water. Custard got a Stuart turner 2 bar single

Wasn't brand new!

Soldered all joints

Turned hot on, water came out top of flexi.

Cleaned pipe few times but still leaked.

Got gas torch in it & fluxed a tiny drip of, reconnected, elbow joint leaked, got gas out & fluxed & bit of solder

Reconnected- all ok

All in all 2.5hrs to move kitchen fridge & w Mach, do job & clean up

Also fitted new w Mach iso & fixed leaky waste under sink

Pump boosts really well.

Very pleased - especially as I soldered (custard had got me speed fit).
