Hey everybody, just would like to know how you aquire a seal between the top of the shower trap and the bottom of the shower tray. Thank you.

Some manufacturers suggest silicone so it is worth checking. This always seems a bit of a bodge but when you look at the "rubber" seals sometimes supplied you realise why they suggest this.

if your using an expensive shower trap like a matki or kudos the rubber can take silicone and wont slip out from underneath on cheaper traps i find a small smear on the underside of the stone tray always works

i find silicon on washers just allows them to twist out when you tighten the shower trap ones are pretty reliable in my experience you dont need anything on them provided youve got the trap body fitted in the right position
