Hi pricing a job for new shower and pump. Loft tank raised and 25gallon cylinder only 114l in airing cupboard, looking at a 1.8 showermate pump will need to go in loft 0.5m below tank has anyone fitted one like this? Not sure whether to go for the universal just to be safe.

really need to increase the tank in the loft to 50 gallons they may find the pump running dry, don't forget in effect there are two draws for the same amount of water. also I would go for a negative head pump in this situation.

Closer to the hot tank the better. Pity you can't fit it at base of cylinder, even if that means raising the cylinder by fixing heavy timber to each side wall.
Negative head pump needed if head of water not good or if pipe runs are going along loft

Fit a 1.5 bar in roof space, just follow the specific instructions for this type of install... 0.5 meter should be enough to not need negative head surely?

That was my thoughts mi state minimum 0.5m and. 0.8l/m all they say about tank and cylinder is ensure they are sized so that a suitable shower time is obtained. The pump has run dry protection I've explained all this to customer and he's happy to have short showers.

I cant, will need a bigger storage tank and cause tile damage there is an existing thermostatic mixer in place.
