Hi everyone. We've had a pin hole leak above kitchen. Plumber told me to turn off water supply and to leave taps on. I turned the stopcock off but forgot to leave the taps open in a rush out the door this morning. I assume he wanted me to drain the remaining water from tank etc?

Anyway, I'm concerned I'm probably going to do more damage than good having turned the stopcock off but not leaving the taps open. I put a container down below ceiling and suspected leak but I'm not sure how much water is leaking out of the pipe above

Should I be making a trip home in the afternoon to open taps? Plumber can't get to me until tomorrow

I would go back and open taps. You wouldn’t want it going completely. If it was bad, I would also be trying to get someone today(unless it is containable)

Thanks very much. I'll try getting someone out today. When I open the taps and drain the tank but would like water back this evening is it simply a matter of opening up the stopcock again? Is there anything else I need to worry about like heating coming on etc? Thanks for helping. Appreciate it
