the ecomfort plus is an "A" rated boiler that does not have a zero governor, common faults for this type of boiler are the micro switch goes faulty this is quite a common fault on most Sime boilers they are aware of the issue and are trying to resolve it also the fan venturi only needs the slightest bit of dirt to stop the boiler operating

you have just remined me,i worked on one a few years ago and it would not fire because of micro spec of dust in venturi of the fan ,it would work fine with combustion cover off,but would not have it at all when on,apparantly it's a common fault with them
 
Stay away, if money is tight, fit a potterton gold or something similar.
 
Don't go there,had one installed in June,never been right and waste a lot of water.
 
Given the choice between installing an Ideal or a Sime, I'd leave the job to someone else.:66:
