Sink and bath wont drain but toilet flushes fine

Hi,

I'm a bit baffled, the bath and sink in the bathroom won't drain, or are doing so extreeeemely slowly, but the toilet is flushing fine!

I can't work out where this would mean the blockage is... is it caused by the toilet or by the bath/sink?

The sink and bath waste probably join together, the blockage will be after they join but before the Waste stack pipe where the WC joins.

It'll be hair causing the blockage.

is the pipe work accessible?
is it push fit?

if so best to open it up and find the problem.
chemicals or wires are less effective, but still an option.

Hi there Charlie Louisa and welcome to the forum, your toilet is working because the pipe it goes into is near 3 times larger than the pipe coming from your sink and bath , your sink and bath probably tee in together into a 40mm diameter pipe which will run into the toilet pipe which is 100mm in diameter, if you can gain access to the trap which is the u bend that's attatched onto the basin and the one for the bath, remove them and clean out , outback together and try some chemicals but not Mr muscle or household ones as don't rate then atall , instead Travis Perkins do a tub of drain unblocker that has caustic soda so bit better than supermarket ones, failing that get a p,umber in to give it a good clean out ,

Thank you so much, that's a relief if it's just the bath and sink and nothing to do with the toilet!
