Sink tap runs water when bath tap is turned on!

CAn anyone advise me pls? My sink tap in the bathroom starts running water when the bath tap is turned on?! even tho the tap is securely turned off! (Both cold water taps).

could well be youve got a high pressure on the system and the taps are ceramic valve which can easily blowout if you turn on and off another tap on the same circuit. Happened to me in the past and really annoying. answer is to install a pressure reducing valve on the incoming main and replace the ceramic valves if that is the case as they dont like being messed around with under pressure.

Many thanks for the advice, It was taken and a pressure reducing valve installed. My taps seem to be fine now!
