Slow hot water tap?

Hi
Hope someone can help with this.
I went to do the washing up yesterday but when I turned on the hot water tap it run ok for 5 seconds and then run very slow to almost a fast drip.
Both the cold water and hot water run through the same tap.
Does anyone know what it could be?

If you mean my central heating, its hot water from a tank.

Like dancin says could be anything from a washer to a blockage to an airlock. Need to get a plumber in really.

Could be tap innards have wound down, thus preventing flow of water, you can tell if tap head barely turns. Strip tap valve down, tighten and grease, replace and hopefully all will be well

hi Parzy if you have hot water at bathroom then proberbly washer at kitchen sink tap if not air lock ... let us know how you get on regards turnpin:rockon2:
