Hi All

We have got a luke warm radiator in one of our upstairs bedrooms. I have tried bleeding it and also turning other radiators down and turning this one to max but it never gets really hot.

I don't want to drain the system down so are there any other options for me?

Thanks

Trapped air causes coolness at the top of radiators, sludge causes it at the bottom.

If you have a TRV, it could be that it's sticking and causing the problem. Worth checking out before removing the radiator.

try and put a hose and spigot on the bleed screw close bothe rad valves run out side open the flow disipate the air close then open the lockshield do the same and see how u go with that

Its the valve then.

If its a trv unscrew the thermo head and you should see a little pin poking up. Get a small hammer and give it a gentle tap downwards.

If its the lockshield side this is more trouble as the head can snap off at the shaft to the gate - if its stiff squirt plenty of wd40 and next day give it a part turn either way gently.

Then contemplate changing both valves as you might as well while drained down if wd 40 dont work
