I live alone in a 1 bedroom flat, work away from home a lot, and irregular hours. Being electric central heating, naturally I don't want the heating to be on if I am not in the house, I also don't want to be programming the thermostat every other day as it's a pain in the a**e!!

I have a modern electric boiler central heating system (Thermaflow TH9, I'd post a link but not allowed), but my current thermostat only allows programming for regular hours.

I figure one of these Smart Thermostats that can be controlled via a mobile phone App would suit my needs well. However, I know virtually nothing about central heating.

Any advice on how compatible these are with my boiler unit, what ones to buy, etc.
