Smell like a plumber

I won a job to fit a boiler because I smelt like a plumber & the other 3 plumbers did not
, no I did not smell off p""s & s""t ,, but boss white ( linseed oil )

made me laugh , as never heard a customer say that before

my wife hates the smell

I don't notice it but after a day soldering and copper work the wife always says upstairs and shower you stink of plumber. Only then though never after a day servicing or breakdowns and she has no idea what my schedule is day to day so it must be true.

However i do know when I smell like a pipe fitter. Covered in ochre and smelling like pipe fitters perfume

Last time I got covered in linseed oil , i was getting frustrated with a piece of Glass !

(apparently can make rags -spontaneously combust ... or is that bs..? )

Turned up to a job and a very over confident, posh 10 year old let me in..Walked in he held his nose and says "ew you stink of cigarettes"...I had to fight back saying 'Look ya house smells of wet dog, i think yer dads got beard nits and your mum needs to buy a dishwasher' pfffft rich hippys.

What did the customer tell the other plumbers?

You didn't get the job because you didn't smell right!!

Is that a case for the 'anti-discrimination' court?
I'm sure you can't discriminate against a person because of 'odour'

You have a sensitve sense of smell -- If at least one of you local pubs --smells bad since smoking ban !
