shame I only caught the end of this fascinating program but it must of been a terrible time to live through I am old enough to have lived through the 1963 big freeze but did not realise it went on for almost 2 months regards turnpin

So throughout January and February 1963 the whole of the UK was at a standstill, half the bird population died out and here we are moaning about a bit of snow. Well I'm not, but some are.
