Looking to install an open vented multifuel stove to heat only central heating (to run along side oil fired sealed system, not to link into) and have a number of questions to ask

1. I would like to have a pumped 9 kw system downstairs for daytime use and a non pumped themosyphon 6 kw system straight off the primary flow and return for night time low burning fire, the boiler is rated at 11 kw.

2. would a four pipe or two pipe from boiler be best

3. Is this feasable

any advice much appreciated

fit an accumulator, zone off heating to suit your requirements.

you cant have a heating only system, there must be a way of taking heat from the stove that dose not require electricity ie gravity circulation. The accumulator once warmed will stay warm for a few days so if you wake up and want the heating on in the morning but your not going to be able to stay and wait for the stove to go out then the heat from last nights stove use will be available.
