Working on a site where they are taking the discharge from unvented cylinders to a soil stack with solvent weld waste.
Every thing else is up to regs but I always thought solvent weld was not allowed.
Am I wrong?

It is meant to be push fit, as it is rated for the temperature.
Personally, I think in this day and age, there should be a solvent weld pipe available to take it. Solvent waste is far superior a system.
Plus, I dont get why it can't ( allegedly), take the heat from a safety vent on a cylinder, but it CAN take the same temp water from a tap!!

Confused.......

heat from a tprv could be around 95 degrees but I do agree materials should be available

You should be fine aslong as its clipped well upto but I have seen 100 Dc go down sw (steriliser sinks) and its lasted a year of every day use,

Aint solvent weld capable of taking around 110 c?

Worked on loads of sites like that tho where its glued , however that the last of the many concerns wait to they pretend to commission the boiler.

Didn't someone on here a while back say that you can get solvent weld that is suitable.

You can but need to have a lot (bulk order)

Has anyone, know of anyone! ever found a prv on unvented discharge at a temperature that would cause waste pipe to be damaged.

All I have ever come across in all these years ( even on electric heated ) is nothing more than a drip!
Im not suggesting fitting other than to regs, but surely you could discharge into a waste that can carry the same water temp from a tap.

It should be pushfit as long as the manufacturer says it is sutable. Solvent weld pipe cant take excessive temps for long periods.

What push fit waste do you guys use for your unvented discharges? I have one coming up soon where I am going to have to use plastic, it will be a first for me as I have always managed to run copper to outside before.

That's the thing

Normal solvent weld will take 90
Push fit will take 100
High temp solvent weld will take 100

I think the other thing to think about is there is a small amount of expansion available in the pushfit joints. If its welded together there is non.
