Hi all,
Just wondering if anybody had worked on this cooker before. They're for mobile homes, caravans etc. The main oven is lighting and staying lit ok but will not flame up,just stays on a very low flame. I need to order parts but should I order both the thermocouple and oven thermostat tap or just one? If the thermocouple is faulty I'm thinking that the flame shouldn't stay lit?? Are taps a common fault. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated as I haven't much experience fixing ovens!

Usually on any oven its the flame supervision device i.e the big phial. And to be honest the time effort and cost stripping it down and replacing isn't usually cost effective for cust. Are they expensive cookers.?

I'm not sure if the cookers expensive or not, tried ringing the manufacturers but the phone doesn't seem to be connected so I presume they are no longer! The fsd isn't too expensive £14 but I just didn't want to replace it and then find that the problem is with the oven thermostat tap which is about £60. I try to keep the labour cost reasonable as I'm trying to get into fixing hobs, ovens etc as nobody really does it around here. Thanks for the help.

It's a very niche market and if you can get quick and know all the appliances then there's a definite earner..Personally i don't like getting covered in last weeks dinner + it take me too long to strip em anyway. Good luck.:) p.s I still reckon its the fsd..
