Static caravan soil pipe venting

The soil pipe from the static caravan goes straight down through the floor. What I plan is to run a Tee from this to connect to a vent/air intake on the other side of the caravan. Just wondering does the fact that the vent pipe joins the soil pipe after the tiolet affect how it would work.

Any other ideas appreciated.

It's common for the caravan plumbing to be an unvented stub stack. What problems are you experiencing that makes you feel an open vent is needed?

Thanks for the reply. I haven't it done yet, so I don't have a problem yet! I am just trying to set it up so that I don't need to redo it. Measure twice, cut once and all that. This is to connect to a domestic septic tank and will be joining an existing soil pipe near the tank, but the new line is about 60m long. If this was a house there definately would be a vent to equalise the pressure, so I don't see why I would not need one here.

Look up stub stacks in Approved Document H or whatever the Irish equialent is and see if you fit within the parameters. In any case, modification to underground drainage is likely to be a building control notifiable work, so you can be guided by whatever your authority requires. Regarding the sketch above, I think the vent should be off a tee behind the WC pan rather than under it.
