Hi, I want to replace my non-working old stopcock with a new one as shown. I'm a bit concerned about why the old one has three nuts on each side and if I might end up in some sort of mess once I take it off. Any comments would be much appreciated.

That looks like it might be 20mm mdpe not 25mm

I would have both and a selection of fittings before taking the old one off! Also make sure the boundary stop tap outside is accessible and working well
