This may win me the numpty of the week award, .... Does anybody make a storage combi with a secondary return ?

dont think so but you could make a normal one into one with a secondary return (i think)

Not that I'm aware of.

Couldn't see it working to be honest you'd have as much in the pipes as you would the store temp losses would be high and its be firing all day.

As ever I stand to be corrected

Nope and Nope, the thing would constantly need to run as flow switches would be triggered by pumps etc. Isn't a terrible idea but i presume energy use will have killed it stone dead as they reckon pumps were about 40+ % of the household leccy bill.

It does seems a logical idea to me , but on a friday night I cant be bothered trawling the net , so I thought it ask you guys.

Its strange in two days i have had to look at two jobs which are virtually the same lol .
Both big houses, both open vent, ancient cylinders and rads etc etc i dont need to go on !
Bathroom kitchen miles away from the meter and both are favouring a combi of sorts . Ans had mentioned the other night that intergas did a combi that had the facility to supply open vent rads. (!not looked into it yet ) but i cant get away with the boiler been miles away from the taps.

Thank you for your replys guys

I think an immergas Zeus is a combi of sorts. Has a small cylinder installed within it. Not sure about sec return though

I am going to look into this , with the collective brains of the boiler manufacturers , i cant see why it cant be done.

It's an option on the Viessmann 222f. Part number 7351819

I didn't think that would be possible with mains water, would the water move? The pump would be under massive stress.

it doesnt realy matter what the standing pressure in the pipework is the pump would still move it ive worked on buildings with over 2 bar standing presure which have secondaries some in the earlydays were gravity
the pump see's equal presure on either side when static and would create negative and positive as soon as its run. Actually we need to look at what we are realy dealing with its not really a pump but a circulator
