I'm installing a small solid fuel stove (6Kw) with a clip on stainless steel boiler to heat the water (3kw/3kw).

The water would be heated by a gravity flow through the nearby hot water cylinder. The problem I have is that the house is a bungalow and it's difficult to get a significant head between the hot outlet of the boiler and the hot entry to the cylinder.
Does anyone know what kind of head is needed for this syphon arrangement to work properly?

Is there any advantage in heating the water via an indirect system i.e. with a coil in the hot water cylinder?
