Stuck Riello RDB burner

Relatively new to servicing, but have come across a Riello RDB unit that will not disengage from the unit.
I have unbolted the securing nut but the burner will not budge. the boiler is a Warmflow unit quite a few years old and from the look of it and the oil hose I have replaced, not been serviced in years.
I have sprayed WD all around the are where it joins the plate and tapped it to try and loosen. I fear that due to lack of any service over many years the actual blast tube has been cacked in crap inside the unit and now stuck for good! Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You mean you're struggling to remove burner and blast tube from flange? Have you opened up the chamber and removed baffles to see if you can persuade it from that angle

Yes. Struggling to remove from flange. And at the moment can’t get to baffles due to corrosion of the wing nuts. Will look at that too. Thanks

could be mishapen tube expanded and cracked and thus stopping the burner removal

When you get the chamber door off try as I said. If you can get the burner to shunt slighty undo the blast tube grub screws and remove the burner and nozzle assembly, then just work at dislodging the blast tube. You probably wont get access but if you can move burner slightly you could try undoing the flange bolts and gaining some play that way, although you could damage flange gasket if it's in a bad state like you say.
If it's been many years since it was serviced then check everything, including door seals etc, you'll probably find it's not just filters, nozzle, hose etc that need replacing.

It's a last resort but needs must. I've never had to resort to it but then all our customers know the importance of routine maintenance

I appreciate the post is a few weeks old, but can you get the flange off the burner? If not and if it still won't budge, then I would dremel off the flange from the burner and fit a new flange
