Hey all, I have a tap handle that wont come off!
In the bathroom, we had a leaking tap, so we decided to replace the washer. We took off the button at the back and unscrewed it too. Now, i know that it is supposed to just pop off but mine didnt. It will still turn round and it slightly looser but it wont come off.
Any advice?

Attached is an image of the tap, the hot side is the one I'm

trying to fix. But both the sides wont come off.

Never played with anything like those (but perhaps the only difference is the squarenessk

Aside: First are you sure they are washers or 1/4 turn ceramic? You can still fix with right parts.

You may be short of professional plumbers gentle hand strength to get the handles off.

Silly question: if you turn 45deg so the squares misaligned can you then tap the underside of the Tap handle upwards. Perhaps use the end of the wooden handle of a smallish hammer. Work your way round each of the four corners.

I'd find the manufacturer first using Google images and/or Google Lens and see if any instructions/parts lists avail on the internet. That said one of the pros here might identify etc.

P.S. Use a bit of vaseline on the reassembly so you can get them apart next time.

Cheers,
