Bloke in a flat wants his towel radiator moved up really high on the wall for odd reasons I won't bore you with. This would put the top of the towel rad roughly level with the bottom of the f+e (which is mounted at the top of a cupboard nearby with the CH circulating pump positioned directly below next to his fortic)

Not my area as never do anything heating related beyond changing the odd rad but this won't cause any problems with circulation will it?

Thanks

Come across some done like that and tbh had to do some radiators in roofspaces where the f&e tank is just above level of rad.
They can work okay, but tend to have air gathering in them.
Supposed to be at least one metre below f&e tank ideally.
Sealed system or just don’t do it.

I would be interested if some one could explain why it won't work? As long as the top of the towel rail is lower than the water level in the F&E & the pump & cold feed are arranged so that the system is under positive pressure.
Albeit that venting air with so little head will be slow, circulation will not be effected will it?

Answer?
Sorry Mr Customer, but having checked with experts (obviously a very loose description) doing this will give you ongoing problems with your heating system so I feel unable to do it.

If you insist, then I'll do it but only if you sign this disclaimer for any issues arising. ;)
