hi

just looking for a quick bit of advice, i woke up this morning and i have very low pressure from all my hot taps in the house and i can't get any hot water out of the shower. cold is fine and central heating is fine. what water that does come out is hot. nothing has been changed to the system, has any one got any ideas what the problem could be?

thanks in advance and happy new year

roly

thanks for the replys

yes cold water header tank is full (expansion tank too). as far as an airlock i'll take a look at this, i read somewhere to put a hose from cold tap onto hot tap to try and shift it, does that sound about right? how would air suddenly have got into the system?

Is gate valve on cold feed to cylinder fully open. Have you turned off recently. (coz they tend to break in closed position)
Hose from cold tap to hot tap is write. Give it a go.

thanks guys for all the advice.

you were right it was an airlock, i turned on the hot and cold on the bath mixer together and held my hand over the nozzle tightly and it was enough to shift it. all working normally again.

thanks again :D
