i have a sf2 but not used a heat guard it looks a good idea though
 
Nope aint got one or an asbestos mat, but I do love the smell of burning paint, cabinets, skirting and napalm in the morning

and I am pretty sure that gaurd might interfere when I light me ***

hate soldering the pipe work for gas hobs ......and as i dont have any more flex connectors and my garden house is so short if i continue cutting it to do the hobs will have to get a new one so have to solder them :)

just thought is a good idea but want to hear the rest of the boys opinion

I had one years ago waste of time, I use a bit of aluminium sheet which is much better.
 
its a skirting nozzle for work without cremation never used one but can see it being handy
 
my approuch to this is,i always solder pipework/fittings first before connecting to hobs,that way i avoid these burning issues.
