Not sure about other manufacturers other than Vaillant. Buy why is a combi cheaper than a system boiler??
as a system boiler is basically a combi robbed of some bits!

surlelt they should be cheaper.?:89:
 
probably down to numbers sold, bigger numbers means they can knock em out cheaper, even though there's less inside a system or heat only, they sell less of them so per unit costs more to bild.
 
combis are the biggest sellers so theres always a price war going on and manufacturers make up the profit on other boilers its a bit like 8mm elbows are dearer than 15 because they sell more and get discounted
