I would like to know if there is a bath tap base thread/gland with a 1 Inch thread? It is for a bath tap replacement. The one I bought inc the added spacer extra bit still is too small. And if so where in the UK can I get it ie diy store or ebay?

I tried at B&Q but they dont have 1 inch base threads for me to put into a twin bath tap set.😕

I do not believe there are any more, unless some sanitary specialist keeps them, maybe a reclaim yard or scrap yard, the head you took off should be serviceable though

are you sure its a 1" bsp thread it could be 3/4"bsp which measures 1" across?

Hi, yea its a 1 inch thread, This explains the hassle im having, Il try and swap over the top internal part tomorow as its the actual tap head grub grib thats badly worn. il update. thanks

When you finf a supplier let me know as I cant find one either for a customer 🙁

I try Plumbline in Eastkilbride tomorow if there open? they have helped before with an old radiator valve. Today I went to Wicks, Focus and Home base, all of which should be appauled at there stock. and prices . Anyway Il get back here once I get it.

Yes you can pop it in a converter which you can get, just like a reducer , not sure where though only they exist as I saw on in a diy shop in armley in leeds, good luck.

Well went to Plumbline today ,Kenny the Manager said they dont do such a type any more same as "Puddle" said🙁
But said to try Curzon Components in Helen street in Govan.

They dont do any parts now, Not pratical fitting new taps at more cost, when its as valve that just needs replacing.

But that's a valve that doesn't exist anymore though? Would personally just swap the taps. Jobs a good'en , how long does the customer wait without your rep being in question?

Valve now fixed friend at work Sourced a supplier of tap & conversion set inc every possible type of reducer & washers etc in the box. He had a spare box so that did the job perfectly. And it still all the contact info in the box so I asume it is the place he got it from, Hope this helps those who posted here also asking if I got the info I simply used the convertors in the box, O and by the way I Am the customer😉

but if you carnt get the bits and you have to keep going around to get / find bits surly its better to get/ fit new taps i use to think it would be cheaper to repair than replace but its not and you look silly when it gose again
