Morning all,, I found some old taps in my nans shed, and desided to em apart, to change the washers, then I was thinking to my self, how would u use a reseating tool, what r they for? Also say for Instance I did have a leaky tap, would I replace all the o rings or just the main washer. Thanks men

re-seating tools are particularly good in hard water areas where you might find scale build up on the tap seatings or where the seatings are miss-shaped. mine is the monument DIY model only cost about £10 and made in England as well.

I've got one and never used it. With problem taps I remove the old tap head and spindle and replace it with a tap reviver kit made by Bristan. Not had one problem since doing this and I can charge accordingly. With new heads and spindle etc. it is just like a new tap, although cheaper.

On another note, the manufacturers of ceramic disc taps should be shot in my opinion. They need a standard size and type across all taps.
