Hi guys, I have CH but no HW, a friend of mine who is a plumber, but very busy, when I discribed what the HW cylinder looked like, said it was the tap stat. have you any advice on changing, draining down and re-filling the system. The boiler is a Potterton Neatheat mark 11 F 10-16.

Heeeeeeeeelp

Would have thought it was more likely to be the hot water motorised valve not working, maybe syncron motor gone in it and requires replacing

most likely not immersion heater as water is heated by ch going through the coil in the hot water storage tank, so as puddle said likely three or two way valve needs looking at.

look up acl drayton tap stat and let us know if this is what you have on your cylinder or post a couple of pictures of your cylinder🙂regards turnpin

thanks, have just looked at drayton tap stat, the one on this does'nt look the same, maybe it's old style, would like to send a pic but not very good with PC's. the one I have has two metal pins in the cap on the top. Will I have to drain the whole system down to fit it.
