Hi All
The 'tap' in my kitchen that allows me to turn off the water supply to my home is missing the 'tap' component, that is the bit you physically grip to turn it on or off. I think a previous plumber nicked it. It fits onto the assembly by a square 'male' fitting. What is the misssing piece called and where can I get one. Aldo :confused:Swansea.

most plumbing wholesalers should sell various kinds of stopcocks,

I'd suggest taking a photo of it so you can show them what kind of head is needed, you will most likely have to buy a whole new stopcock but the head part will be removable and you can just put it on the old one.

haha plumber nicked it....

probably did to go with his other 5 stop taps stocked in his van :D

probably "missing" because it was/is siezed and has been snapped off with a pair of pump pliers, Il bet its all rounded off isnt it?.

check upline from the 'tap' as this usually indicates a failed redundant 'tap' when the 't' handle is missing, there may be another new replacement one added futher allong.

perhaps the plumber is collecting brass for next years xmas bonus?.
