Temporary electric under floor heater.

Have got two new build properties. which, the gas supply has for various reasons will not be going in for two months.
this is 1 week before the new owners move in.

the tiler needs to do the floors before kitchen etc.......

The he builder has asked me to make up a board with a electric heater. Ie "Amptec" or similar. With a pressure vessel and pump. He will then hire it off me for £30 a week. I have needed one of these in the past so will come in handy afterwards.

was thinking about mounting it all on a board .

anyone got other ideas. Don't want to spend over £500

Just done the same thing 6kw amptec with exp vessel and pump just over £400 was suprised to find it heated the house no problem (3000sq ft) cost a fortune to run tho, charged the builder for it now I've got one to use on other jobs, seen somebody use a small lpg boiler on a sacktruck with propane bottles

What about the smallest pressurised cylinder I can get. Use the hot outlet and cold supply as a flow and return. Fit a pump and expansion vessel. Use the immersion as a heater and away you go.????

Amptec is the way forward, but not for 30 a week.

small cylinders aren't cheap amptec would be your best option

An amptec is designed to run 24/7. Immersions aren't, they'll split pretty quickly. We found out when we done a temp hot water solution while our boilers were coming from Austria. 3 elements a week for 2 weeks....
