Customer is asking me to remove gas meter and fit it back another day to allow him to have his kitchen fitted.
I checked with Gas Safe and they said I can do it. I'd have thought I wouldn't be allowed to go around removing meters as we're supposed to work downstream only.
What fittings do I use to cap off the pipes where the meter would have been?
I did a job once where the transporter had capped off the supply with a nut, that would be it but I don't know the name. Not sure if it would fit downstream too...

Is there anything I can use to cap the downstream pipe as well, at least to prevent dirt from getting in?
It's meant to be temporary as the meter is going back there, but who knows when or if ever...
I'm not moving it, just removing it.

Oops, got a bit confused with the two. Are you saying for domestic supplies, the ECV is likely to be 3/4"?
I suppose that ECV cap just needs a bit of gas paste on it and spray LDF afterwards?
