buckley plumb

been to do a landlord safety check on a boiler I look after an old ariston -it has a 1mb gas leak no smell of gas been like this for ages . went today for yearly check o find new boiler fitted free by major company - boiler only now(fire disconnected) on the gas supply and still the 1mb drop- since they fitted a new boiler they never cured the leak

Leave it as is, no further action required. Unless you want to give the landlord some grief!

Surely the rule is new appliance, being the only appliance in the house no drop is allowed. Get them back.

i agree no drop permissible,if its a new boiler no drop allowed on carcass, and anyway if other appliances fitted once isolated there must be no drop

I/1b states that the drop must not increase on existing installation. It's existing and upon commencing the installation was compliant and therefore legal and acceptable to be the same way when they finished. But me personally I don't like any drop any of the time

Yes the installer should have repaired, but as you go in its no smell and 1mbar drop. Pass as it's now an existing installation.
