Hi
Guys and gals new to this way of asking a bit of advice, but I want to fit an internal diverter valve to my wosester
boiler, your going to ask why ,well ,the boiler as only been used for central heating .I have a tank with coil with
header tank, worsesters book tells me to run two 15 mm pipe's to (flow and return) to coil in tank only there is
a pipe also conected to coil from header is this the only supply I need for central heating and hot water when connected t
boiler hope this is clear to all as the booklet is to me not very clear, the fitting of valve and pipe work is no problem
Many Thanks in anticipation

That skipping song just sprang into my head. Double dutch.

......i think the jist is he wants to convert it to a combi???......

i really hope not....

Its got to be a wind up? surely
If your serious and "the fitting of the valve and pipe work is no problem" then can you tell me where and how you plan to fit the "internal diverter valve" to your wosester

Wocester do an internal diverter for there system range... To then controls the hw cyl from the boiler with no mid pos valve.... I don't think the op is trying to make a combi, at least I hope not Lol!

Why would your pressurised & sealed system boiler have a header tank...?

It's a good system we have done to existing cylinders new cylinders pressurised cylinders. CDI uses 4 pipes I system uses 3 pipes.
Done a couple existing where existing boiler pumped heating and gravity hot water so 4 pipes in boiler area connect f/r to heating, internal diverter kit to f/r primary's to cylinder very little disturbance to existing pipework.

Using a combi boiler to provide instant domestic hot water in the kitchen and using the pumped circuit to heat a cylinder is often a good idea - ( esp if an immersion heater is fitted for when the combi breaks down) - baths fill really quickly - However I have my reservations about this post

if he cnt spell, semms not to now alo t thn maybe he should be stopped from doing it himself CHK

Ah, I get what you mean now
Didn't understand the op at all, thought he was trying to convert a system to a combi

Main advantage I can see is you can set different temps for heat and HW, so heating can run at 50 for UHF etc, and HW can still run at 75.

Done a whole council estate with green star he system boiler with the internal diverter kit. Very easy to fit. 15mm F and R for your cylinder where you'd normally have the hot and cold on the combi. I'm guessing it's the same on the current boilers.

You're all forgetting one thing: You know what you are talking about, I don't believe the OP did. I 'm a bit worried he hasn't come back...

Hi well this is my reply not very good with spelling never was ,but know what I am talking about as one person made clear you can fit internal diverters to this machine it only takes minutes but i forgot that most plumers now only do 3 year

apprenticeships so there still learning .dont worry all sorted works fine wont bother again to ask thank you to the ones

that new what I was after

i dont think any offence was intended towards yourself in any reply, you have started a thread which is reguarding work that must been performed by a gas safe registered engineer as it involves access to the inside of the appliance. It also was not very clear what was being asked. Not knowing your history, your qualifications and fully understanding your post ment you did not get the help or replys you expecting. This forum will not give help to anybody reguarding a gas related issue without knowing your qualified to do such work.

why not stick around, register as a gas safe engineer (assuming your are one) with the forum using your gas safe details and gain access to the gas safe only forum then you can ask and answer all the gas related questions you want. Also the more you use the forum any communication barriers can be broken.

many members on here have been in the trade for along time, some have just started. A good mix. Ive been in the trade 19 plus years, learn more from this forum than any text book or magazine.
