All except one thermostatic radiator valve in my house can be removed by unscrewing an allen screw. One has no obvious means of securing it and I attach a photo of the valve in question.
Can anyone help please?

Turn the ribbed collar at the Base of the valve head anti clockwise a quarter turn. It should be spring loaded. Then give the head a wiggle. Danfoss?

Many thanks-I'll try that when I get home.
Danfoss? Can't tell but all the other rad valves are so I assume "yes".

The ones with Allen screw are the older type, the one in the photo is newer type twist the black collar its spring loaded, think they have changed the fixing again on latest ones

Thanks a million. Not had time to check it out yet.

Thanks a million for your advice. All sorted and working "as advertised" again.
Also thanks to jtsplumbing who also gave the same advice.

I had problems with them and my boss wasn't too sure either.
But I noticed there's a clip, (eventually), on the knurled bit that gets tweaked out with a screwdriver.
Then same as in previous posts, hold the TRV and twist the knurled collar.
I know you've already done it, but I was thinking if anyone else gets one.
