Hi there, i'm new to this, i have had a thermostatic valve shower/ mixer (victorian style) fitted and although i have the power for both hot and cold when it comes to mixing them to preferred temp. no joy. Just when you think the hot water is starting to come through it continues to get hotter without you turning the tap. Had a replacement valve fitted but no different. The shower is running from a worcester combi boiler that is only 6 yrs old. The plumber insists he has not crossed the pipes as he was using the water from the pipe work when he was plastering, also both sink and toilet are running fine....any ideas as at wits end !!!

When you run the shower on hot or cold just check that the hot is coming from the left and cold from the right (as you look at it.

We've all done it. Not doubting your guy at all but again we have all done it.

Just as Rob above says, if they are the rightway round consider this ...i fitted one before xmas were the manufacturers had put the cartridge in the wrong way round. Just check if its reversible.

thanks rob, have checked as you suggested and it is opposite to what you said so it looks like that is the reason, although it's going to be a pain o sort half the battle is knowing why, thanks
