I have a customer who needs this changing. How is it piped up? Does it have long flexis inside the body?

Also can anyone recommend a suitable replacement? The securing plate looks like the thing to give me the most grief.

Thanks.

What did you fit? Can you recommend a good brand?

The last free standing tap I fitted mounted on to a plate that was fixed under the floor. It was bolted down to the plate under the covering shroud.

As mentioned above, they come most of the times with long flexible hoses but you also get some are rigid connect under the floor.

I would recommend not to go for some cheap ones they will surely cause some problems. You really want to fit some quality freestanding bath taps.

I can definitely recommend grohe but they are quite expensive though.

Thanks for the replies.

Does half a days labour sound fair?

I'd say between half a day and a day. A day if you're moving bath.
Last one I fitted was big flange bolted under floor with connections in the side. Tap pole just pushed into it and bolted down. If it's that type be ready with towel as the upright is full of water !
