Those new gas meters with the keypad on them

Anyone else had a night mare with these to gas rate


your thoughts people and experiences

Seen one yesterday and didn't have a clue....!!! was getting flame fault on a combi and traced to no gas!! Flippin meter had closed off ... Spent a good while wondering why the feck gas wasn't coming through, didn't even know it was a "card" meter!! sheeeeeeeeeesh!!!

Believe kirk knows about them, they Talking about them on Fb. Think have to press 9 for gas rate, smart meters

Im guessing you mean the big white ones with what looks like a telephone keypad on them? They are supplied by this outfit.

Their sales teams generally punt around social housing estates and tell residents how cheap they are.

They can be a bit problematic. For instance, its quite possible for the punter to have credit showing on their podule and yet the meter has run out and shut off. This is down to a comms error between the customer podule and the meter.

Gas distribution networks do not deal with these meters..

You say Gas Distribution networks do not deal with these meters?

Are they fitted after the normal gas meter ? if not who deals with gas escapes ect ??

If u follow the tb it's wrong volume does come up
first but that reading never moves

National Grid do not work on Smart Meters at all, If called out to one, the most that will be one is a disc inserted into the outlet, or on the ECV if the meter is leaking.
