Hi, i'm new to this forum and am looking for a bit of advice, I've just moved into a new house and the level of oil in the tank was quite low (below 1/4) i tried to start the boiler and it fired and ran, worked fine, switched it off again, left for about a month and tried to fire it up again, wouldnt go, assumed oil level was too low. Today i had oil delivered and tried to start the boiler but no success, it seems that there is no oil getting to the tigerloop, all valves are open, but no oil is being drawn up from the tank, is there a way to bleed the tigerloop?

Thanks in advance
Bobby

Sadly not lol and id say its about.....20-25 feet? then verticly for about 3-4 feet

just took a rough measurement, 30ft in total and yup 10mm pipe covered in white plastic

You will need to gdt an engineer in with the right pump to suck the oil up from the tank via tiger loop. If you didnt have the pump I would connect a short piece of 10 mm pipe to the inlet to tiger loop place the open end into a bottle containing kerosene start the boiler snd it will primethe tiger loop. Replace oil lind and the primed tiger loop should pull the oil up. The check valve in the tiger loop may have gone hence advise to get an engineer in.

I've phoned the landlord and told him so he's getting someone tomorrow just wondered if there was something i could do to save the guy coming
