Can anyone suggest how I can hold a service valve which is behind a plastic waste pipe ? There is no room to get in with normal grips and I can't cut the waste as there is already a joint at that point. I think I can get at the nut which needs to come off with a tap spanner but don't see how to hold the fitting. Someone has used two flexis to connect to a bathroom tap and there is avery small leak on the join between these two pipes. have tried sealing the leak but the cold pressure keeps the drip going.
Any advice welcome !

Block of wood or the handle of a spanner, screwdriver just wedge it in m8.

i use CT1, its EXCELLANT, u can adhere, seal materials together. this stuff WORKS under water also. EXCELLANT for stopping leaks, use put some on yor finger and apply to leak or by using silicone gun. comes in 7 colours. check it out.

Thanks for all the advice. Can't remove the waste as it is very neatly boxed in.
Tried 'self amalgamating tape but there is still a tiny leak, will try some of this
sealer if I can find it (not too many plumber's shops in the Lake District ! )
