I would be charging £200 at least!

How can you supply and fit this and be in profit? Makes me wonder what is really happening to our trade!

Yeah it's bad and its getting worse.

There was a article in the papers the other day where Eastern European builders were charging £2 an hour. YES TWO POUNDS AN HOUR!

customers that pay these prices will end up paying twice the second time will cost them alot more to put the job right than it would if it had been done right in the first place. do you want customers that want to save money or the ones that know it needs doing right.
its ok advertising 7 TRV's, supplied and fitted £85 but what is the real cost? whats the hidden extras? i bet its a case of you need a power flush and that will be £700 your radiator is too old we will need to replace it that will be £250 the reason your radiators are not getting as warm is your boiler needs updating we can do that for you £2000, there is always a catch with any thing cheap

thats crazy must be 30mins drain system 90mins if ur quick to fit them and 30mins min to refill and bleed so even cheap valves 6quid each 42.00 plus some ptfe tape or paste say a round 45.00 for the parts so only 40.00 pounds labour for 2.5-3 hours labour...thank the labour govt for every tom dick and harry putting british workers out of work
daily mail today states foreign workers have doubled under labour and 2/3rds of these are from outside the eu

you have it in one mate, I had a leaflet through so I phoned them it was for 7 trvs but it was for £99.99 when he came he was polish and he tryed tellin me that he would put trvs on every rad in my house (yes all of them) and said that three of my rads would want changing (the oldest rad in my house is three years old), they are scams and I asked him to leave nicely just before riping him a new a###hole.

pn h solutoins im with you mate the trades on its arse at the minute ive lived well for twenty years working as a plumbing and heating engineer blue book sites and house refurbs commercial and domestic but were being raped of a living wage buy bengal answers and chancers sit back dont ruin the industry and youre worth and stick together .Let um ****it then well fix it .
All trades are feeling the bite at the minute but dont sell youre self out

its abit of a scam, most customers dont really know what one is. they think it is the big white thing with numbers on it and thats it.
if i was a 'rouge trader' yeeehaa, go to screwfix 7 trv = £35 whiz the top of the new one screw onto rad-valve body and hey presto 20 minuites later £40, any other jobs you'd like me to do aswell ma'am.
